Environmental conditions:
In varsharutu, the wind blows from the west, all vegetations spring up, the sky will be bright blue in colour resembling a sapphire freshly cut; the cloud moves slowly making the sky appear dirty; the rivers are full of water & uproot trees on the banks, ponds are full of blooming flowers like kumuda&nilotpala; pits & depressions on the ground are not seen clearly; earth looks like pleasing with plenty of vegetation. The lotus buds open out by frequent rainfall; the rivers appeal like ocean. Pleasant sounds from the clouds, peacock & frogs are heard constantly. The earth shines with rainbow, lightening & mushrooms.
Effect of the season on the body:
The weak digestive power of adanakala is further deteriorated by dosha’s in rainy season. As dark clouds gorged with water blanket the horizon, the cold wind blows with water droplets causing the vapours rising from the earth generate amlavipaka (sour digestion) there by food materials attain the same. Thus, the turbid water & even the weak digestive fire are all responsible for vitiating dosha’s. In this season when the dosha’s vitiate reciprocally it is advisable to adopt the regimen that doesn’t vitiate doshas&those that increase digestion
Treatments:
Massaging of the body, bath, decoction enema, medicated smoke & scents prepared out of agaru should be resorted.
