Skin disorder


The largest organ covering all the parts of the body being a barrier between an external & an internal environment which is exposed to external trauma, sunlight, heat & cold & also serves as a seat for roma (body hair)&romakupas (hair root). The healthy & the unhealthy state of the twacha (skin) can be best appreciated just by the mere inspection. Hence the normal physiological processes & abnormality like emotions are reflected in the skin.As described, 'skin is the icing on anatomical cake' it forms a living biological barrier.

The skin is not only the largest organ of the body but it also has a tendency to come in contact with various pathogens in the environment. In Ayurveda twacha(skin) is mentioned as the seat of function of the tactile sense that is governed by vata. Skin disorder includes simple itch to some dread full skin infections.

Skin disorder
